health information specialist

Health information specialist
·       Duties and responsibilities : Most health information management specialists focus on patient security or privacy, coding or records administration. Many professionals are employed by hospitals, where they work with patient care data and ensure proper insurance payment reimbursement, the accuracy of data for public health records and the security of patients' electronic health records information.

·       Salary:  $30,000 and $42,000 a year, depending upon which state you live in.

·       Education: The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) maintains that a bachelor's degree in a computer-related field is the most common requirement for becoming an IT specialist.  Relevant majors include computer science, information systems and software engineering.

·       Reflection: do you think you would like to be one?  I wouldn’t mind being a Health Information Specialist because it is using computers and organizing schedules and I’m very good at both.  Also, I think that being a health information specialist might give you a knock in the head but I would manage because you need patients and I have a lot of that. I also understand that you have to keep patients information and I would do so. Thins job looks interesting and pays good.
