National Nurses Week - May 6 to May 12

LAUSD School Nursing Services is a vital part of student academic success and achievement. We integrate our services with our Student Health and Human Services (SHHS) colleagues and partners-Pupil Services, School Mental Health and Student Medical Services-and with Special Education services providers, allowing all students equal opportunity to actively participate and contribute to their academic program.

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month

During this month, there is a focus on increasing the awareness about mental health, promoting well-being, and fighting the stigma of mental illness as well as mental health treatment.

Los Angeles Legends Los Lobos to Perform Benefit Concert for KLCS-TV

Los Angeles (May 5, 2015) – Veteran East Los Angeles and International rock legends, Los Lobos will perform a benefit concert for the KLCS-TV Education Foundation, a Los Angeles-based public television nonprofit, on Tuesday, May 5 at the Historic Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

Open Enrollment Application Process for 2015-16 Will Run May 4 - May 22 in the LAUSD

LOS ANGELES (May 4, 2015) - Monday, May 4 marks the starting date to apply for a transfer to another school during the open enrollment period in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) in the 2015-16 school year.
